Hey yall!! Hope you had a fabulous 4th weekend!!! We certainly did!! I just love this season of life we are in and this was definitely the best 4th of July weekend we have ever had!!! Seriously!!! We spent it with our best friends and our family.
Friday night we had most of the crew over for a "Beach Meeting". We are leaving in 25 days for Gulf Shores so we all met (Tara and Drew had something more fun to do :)) and discussed the details. Since Tara was not there, of course, no pictures. But Shane did grill some mean chicken and we had a fun night. One cute pic of the kids...
We wore red white and/or blue ALLLLLL weekend :)...
Saturday, we took the kids to see Cars 2 with Nonna, Poppy and Jace. That night we went to one of our favorite Italian places in Fayetteville with the same crew + Tara, Drew, Kristin and Abby Lynn. The plan was to go eat and then find a good spot to watch the mall fireworks. About the middle of dinner, I started not feeling well :(...so Shane and I took mom and Jake's car home and they were so nice to keep our kids to watch the show. Tara got some adorable pics!! So I felt like I did not miss out...
Owen and Bree were not too sure about the fireworks, but after watching from the car, they were brave and got out to enjoy!
Sunday, I was feeling so much better so we went to church for a fabulous service in celebration of our great country. My three little patriots looked especially darling that morning. This picture right here is what I dreamed about before I had kids :)
After church, we went to lunch with the Williamsons and then went and got snow cones...
Sunday night was FUN!! We went to eat with the Williamsons, Kristin and Abby Lynn, the Dusts and my family and then to watch the Fireworks at the Crosses. We had such a great time at dinner!! We parked across the highway from the church and sat on the lawn just in front of a little "cabin" they were displaying at Home Depot. The guys sat on the porch :). The kids had a blast running around playing, eating yummy snacks and just yelling :). It was my favorite kind of southern night :)! Owen was brave again during the fire works, but Bree, right after they started, jumped up and came running for me. Well I jumped up, grabbed her, and proceeded to step in a whole pan of rice crispie treats running back to my seat :)...tons of pictures...
Emma spent the night with Claire that night, so we met the Williamsons at Village Inn Monday morning. After breakfast, we took naps and then got out to buy some fireworks.
Last night, for the 4th, just some family came over and we had a laid back night. PERFECT!! I love warm summer nights with my crew :)...
I loved this weekend. Definitely one to remember forever!!! I love my family and friends...and the Lord who has blessed me!!!
