Still pregnant =)...

I am still hanging in there! We had a pretty low key weekend. I had on and off contractions all last week, but they were not that bad. Saturday we went to my Dad's pool and I floated the whole time in an inner tube =). It was great and it was my first day with no pain and I was starting to think we were going to make it all the way to the 21st. Then Sunday came....I had contractions all afternoon/evening and was miserable. We are trying to make it to Wednesday when we see Dr. H again. I am pretty sure much progress will be made and we will be discussing options, but we could still have a few more weeks. She still has some more growing and developing to be done, but she is definitely coming, FAST AND FURIOUS =)! I have moved up all my work that still needs to be done so just in case she makes an even earlier arrival, all is finished. Right now, we are just taking it day by day, week by week, getting closer and closer to meeting baby girl!!

Back when the girls threw the Bree Bash, Tara had the professional photog come by the house and take a few shots of me and the kids in Bree's room. These are some of the cute ones. Neither kid was very cooperative, but they are pretty cute.

Then Sunday at lunch, Claire drew this picture of me, pregnant =)...Hope you are having a great day and I will post if anything changes!! Hopefully Wednesday we will be able to learn more from the Dr....

Things I am loving right now...

ICE ICE ICE...I cannot get enough ice to chomp on!! I have done this with all three pregnancies and it is crazy how much I crave it. I have heard it is a sign of low iron, and I am low right now...Thank God for Sonic Happy Hour!

Pedicures...I am literally making excuses for weekly trips to our favorite nail place =)...we will be there tomorrow!

The fact that every night I go to bed before my sweet Shane and when he sneaks in bed trying not to wake me up, always does when he lightly kisses my forehead =). He then always says "Are you okay? Do you need anything? Wake me up if you do, Ok?" The same exact words every night...

Sephora Brand body line in Coconut Cream - body oil, body butter, and body wash -I am obsessed with the smell and taking showers so I can smell it =)!

Getting things in the mail everyday for Bree - most from her Mama as I am also loving ebay and Etsy and ordering a ton =)
Buying matching outfits for the girls...see what Shane picked out this weekend...They are these super cute dresses that are made from vintage rock tees =). Claire's is Guns n Roses and Bree's is Van Halen! Owen will probably wear one of his AC DC or Rolling Stones shirts =)Half off Juicy Baby at my favorite local boutique - how cute are these things??!!! How could I pass up this sale??!! I mean, Bree already has her first Juicy terry cloth track suit!!!! Marshmallow cream and graham crackers...
The color turquoise...see me in my 33 and a half week shot!...this picture cracks me up, look at Owen =)
My family and the help they have been and continue to be! It is going to rough a couple of weeks for me and I know that I can count on all of them to be there for us!
All my friends, near and far!! I have gotten so many emails, texts, calls and comments in the past 48 hours, it blows my mind. I love you all and yall do not know how much you mean to me!!!!

This girl...

Can you tell she is going to be a great little Mama? She has get a very big, fun month ahead of her including starting kindergarten and getting a little sister!! She is is so excited for both and every day she asks how many more days until each. She is going to be such a little Mama to Bree and so much help for me. She always asks me now, "Mama, can I get you anything? Do you feel alright?" Claire was my first girl and will always hold a special place in my heart...it is KILLING ME that is she is growing up so fast!!!!!!! I can't stand it! I remember holding her in the hospital one night at probably 2am and coming to tears when I realized that I would have to send her to kindergarten one day....

This little man...
How can you not love that cheesy grin??? I am in complete denial that he will not be my baby anymore and that he will be 3 years old on the 14th!!! He likes to crawl up next to me (not much room in the old lap anymore) and bend down and say "Baaaaabbbbyyyy Breee" into my huge belly =). He is kind of freaked out by her moving and won't touch my belly very long, kind of funny =). He has learned from big sis and will say "Mama, you alwight?". I always talk about how he has rocked Claire's world, well I have had a few mini meltdowns thinking about him in the next month. His bestest friend in the world...(I am not sure she feels the same way) Claire is going to be going to school every day soon and another baby is coming...he is not going to know what to think! I know he is easy going and will get tons of attention, but I have to admit, I have been feeling for him. He is such a sweetie (most of the time)!!

Loving God right now so much!! This whole pregnancy has been such a huge testament to me and Shane in how he has been in our lives! Without him, we would never be able to get through this! Claire says our prayers before every meal and she always ends with "and thank you for taking care of Mama and baby Bree." We are so thankful!

Baby girl is on her way...

What a crazy couple of days we have had!! We had a busy weekend that included a date night for me and Shane for our Anniversary! Shane's parents let us drop the kids off at 1pm Saturday and we did not pick them up until after dinner that night! What a nice, relaxing day!! We ran some errands, bought the kids some clothes and picked up the new monitor for Bree. Seriously I don't know why we never bought a video monitor??!! If you are having a baby or have a house full of kiddos, these things are WELL worth the money!! We have had so much fun keeping an eye on Owen is his room when he is supposed to be sleeping =). I know I am going to love it when I have another little one to look after! Shane and I went to eat Carrabba's Saturday night and it was wonderful. After dinner, some drama began...

After dinner, we ran to the mall to run a few more errands before picking up the kids and I started having some small contraction pains. Figuring it was nothing, I ignored them and we kept on going. We picked up the kids and I was not feeling any better and just figured I was just tired from the long day and needed to get home and lay down. We went home, Shane got the kids down, and we watched "Gran Torino" (awesome movie). By the end of the movie, I was having full blown contractions and was in quite a bit of pain. I knew it was early to be in labor and they were not that consistent, so I decided to go to bed and TRY to go to sleep. Well that didn't work and by 2:30am, Shane was getting me up to pack my bag and we were going to the hospital. As we were packing and I was moving around, adrenaline pumping, I realized that they had stopped and I was not in as much pain. I told Shane I was not in labor, but I know I am dilating and things are happening. I eventually passed out about 4am, Shane staying up until I did in case we were going to the hospital that night.

Needless to say, we didn't make it to church Sunday morning and I took it easy all day. The only thing I did do was Bree's laundry and got both of our bags packed and ready to go. Monday morning I called the Dr's office to set an appt to come in and get checked. This is not my first pregnancy, I knew that things were happening and it was early. If you remember back to previous posts, preterm labor is a risk with me and I was worried. We had a Ultrasound appt scheduled for today, so they said they would work me in after to see my Dr.

I had my ultrasound this morning. Bree is still weighing in at over 5lbs and this morning she was head down. They even got us a really cute shot of her smiling in 3D. Unfortunately, a problem was found, my placenta is almost blocking my cervix. Meaning if I was to go into labor, I would bleed and that would hurt Bree. So, now I was off to see the Dr. He met with us and let us know that I am going to have a scheduled C-section. The chances of the placenta moving are very slim and it is not a chance he wants to take. He checked me to see if I was dilated and I am already 1.5 cm at 33 weeks. My scheduled C-section date is August 21st...if I am still pregnant. If I get to 3 or 4cm dilated prior to then, he may go ahead and take her to ensure that I do not go into labor. There is a very high probability of that happening and we are going to just take it week by week. If I have contractions that progress and are consistent for an hour or if I bleed at all, we are too get to the hospital and I will have an emergency C-section. So needless to say, we were kind of blind sided today and we are getting prepared. Of course a C-section is not ideal, but we are ready to do whatever is best for Bree. The only way I could have her naturally is if I go into full blown labor and by the time they get to me, she is on her way out and they see the placenta is moved. My money is on the C-section and that is what I am preparing for. I am back on pelvic rest and have been instructed to not do much and pretty much lay around. I am so glad that I have her room done and we are pretty much ready for her. I know with Owen I was not this prepared, so it feels good that I can just relax (as much as one can with not knowing what the future holds) and wait for her to get here!

It is crazy to think she could be here in a few weeks, at the latest, 4 from Friday!!! Please pray that we can all relax and be patient over the next few weeks. So much will be going on in the Brown house until then including Owen's 3rd birthday (party not planned until the end of the month), Claire's first day of school and MANY family birthdays!!! Time should fly by, but I got a feeling it may drag for me =)....

Have a great night!!

Bree Leighton...take 2

So, last week when I went by the ultrasound place to pick up my DVD of our visit, they informed me that they were not happy with the outcome of our pictures and footage and wanted to give us another visit for free!! We were so excited. We were okay with the previous shots, they were okay, not great, but we were just happy we got to see Miss Bree again. They booked us with a different sonographer this time and she just happened to be the same one we see at Dr. Hannah's office. We knew she is good and she knows us as well considering we have had multiple ultrasounds with Bree to check up on her. So tonight we went back with more family and got to have another peek at our sweetie!! Let me tell you, we hardly saw her at all last time!!! This time we got such great pictures and learned so much more about her!!! If anyone is here locally, I highly recommend going to "What's Kickin?" and book your appt on Thursdays so that you can have the same person view your baby, she was unbelievable in the shots she showed us and the pictures she got!!!! Since she knew us, she snuck in a few measurements to see how Bree was measuring since all the views we were seeing that she was VERY chubby and already had rolls and dimples....Bree measured in at a whopping 5lbs, 5oz....she is supposed to be about 4lbs!!!!!!! I have a little butter-ball rolling around inside me....and when I say rolling, she has now turned breech! I am trying not to worry as both Claire and O did the same thing and they both turned down once it was time. The other awesome thing was we got to watch so much more in 4D and it was crazy to see how much this time she looked like Claire and me. There was a couple times, I actually said "That looked just like me!". She is going to look JUST LIKE her big sister. We were all just loving her HUGE cheeks, chubby arms, legs and belly. I swear it looked as if she was storing for the winter in those cheeks!! They actually rolled over her chin at times =)...Here are a bunch of pictures of our sweetie....again =)!

This one is by far my favorite, I know they are hard to read, but she is turned to the side, you can see her eyes, nose and one CHUBBY cheek! She also has her hand in her mouth...this looks just like my baby pictures. That is not hair you see on the top of her head, but a shadow. She did get some better shots of her head this time and there is actual hair that is long in the back and a bunch of thick hair matted all over her little head =).
This one is blurry, but same side, laying her sweet head on her fist / wristAnother chubby arm shot in the middle, if you look close you can see the fold in her wrist. I am not joking, little girl has dimples in her elbows and thighs and folds at every crease!!!!This one is hard to see but she is kind of smiling and her head is tilted to your right...CHUBBY face and arm...Okay, I love this one - it is just of her body - she is sitting down, her legs in front of her and her arm across the middle of the picture - look at those legs!!!!!Her hand is in her eye in this one...I know they are hard to see - but we are so excited and had such a great time tonight!!!! The sonographer kept telling me that she was hard to see at times as she was trying to snuggle up on me and bury her face in her Mama! I swear for the first time it really hit me that she is a real, sweet baby inside me and is ours!! I know that sounds strange and some of you can relate to this, but when you are pregnant, especially for the third time, everything is just a routine and you stay so busy preparing. Tonight, I really got to see this sweet angel and her little life inside me and become so thankful we have her and are going to see her so soon!!! God is so good!! I cannot wait for her, even if she is the size of a kindergartner =)!! Have a good night!!!

Family Weekend!

This weekend was a great one!! It hit me last week that we only have a month until Claire will be starting school (WAHHHH!) and Bree will be making her arrival...very few summer weekends left!! So I wanted to start planning some fun stuff and making the best of our summer.

Claire and I started our weekend by getting pedicures Friday afternoon. I have created a monster in Claire that she will not let me or Shane touch her toes, only the pedicurists =)! So she was in desperate need of a good trim and polish and I am ALWAYS up for a good pedicure! That night, Shane's office had a fun night planned for us at the Natural's Ballpark. They are corporate sponsors of the Minor League Team and they had a night for the whole office and their families to come out, sit in a suite and watch a game. The kids had a blast and it was really a good time. Owen was in heaven and even made some friends =)...

Saturday we did not do much. I have been suffering from a cold and cough that would not go away (there is nothing worse than having a cold and SWEATING at the same time, stupid summer colds). So we took it easy Saturday and I am feeling much better. We did make some yummy brownies =)...

Then Sunday I was feeling much better and we decided to go swimming at my Dad's pool. Claire loves to swim and was a little fish! She was jumping in and having a ball. Owen on the hand, was not a fan and liked the hot tub =). I highly recommend the floaties the kids are wearing, they were awesome and neither kids minded wearing them (bought them at WM). Cute pictures below...

Hope you had a great weekend!! Tomorrow is me and Shane's 8 year Anniversary! Time has flown by...2 and almost 3 kids later =)!

Little B...not so little =)!

Last night was so much fun!! We finally got to see Miss Bree in all her chubby glory =)!! Remember when I told you Dr Hannah said she was big, he was right!! This little princess has some huge, chubby cheeks, thighs...EVERYTHING!! She is way bigger and chunkier than Claire or O, and he was 8.5!!! For the first time we got to see her sweet face and she definitely looks like one of the Brown kids! She looks more like Owen than Claire, but acts JUST like Claire. The entire time she was trying and was successful in getting her fingers in her mouth! She was the sweetest thing and I love her so much. Owen looked just like Shane when he was born, but has changed some and now has some of me and Claire in him. Bree looks more like Owen now (if that makes any sense). She did have a lot of hair, very thick, but of course we do not know what color. She is head down (I thought she was), THANK GOD, as the other two did some flipping around still at this time, Owen did not get head down until days before induction. She is not flipping like them, so I feel pretty good about where she is. If she did not have her hands in her mouth, her toes were =). We had a full house there and I think everyone had a great time!! It was just great to be able to sit and watch an ultrasound for 30 minutes and see her in action. Finally I can decipher all these jabs and pokes I have been feeling! Here are some pictures of the family and of course our newest little sweet girl...the 3D pictures were not the clearest, but we got a lot of good regular 2D ones that showed so much (at least we could see it!!!)

Proud and excited older sister and brother =)!Daddy and ClaireMom, Nicole and TaraKeith and Becky (Nana and Papa)That was a great chair =) She kept on feeding me mini Snickers the entire time so that Bree would keep moving!Jake and OwenMom and Jake (Poppy and Nonna)
Okay - bare with me - these are hard to see -this is a profile shot, you can see her chubby cheeks and pouty lipsIf you look closely, you can see her mouth open and her nose (her eyes are hidden) and that is her hand that she is trying to get in her mouth =)This is a 3D shot where her face is in the center, but you cannot see her mouth because she is sucking on her hand...just like her big sister =)That in the middle is her footBottom right - her fat arm and fist =)Now I am so ready for to get here!! Claire and Owen are even more excited now that they got to see her. Owen woke up this morning telling me all about Baby Bree! Claire thinks she can tell what she is doing now when she feels my tummy =). We are so close, but the last few weeks are always the longest...
