The Knock Knock Song...

Per the last blog, you know that Shane had the kids Saturday night.  When Shane has the kids during the evenings by himself, they always have the same ritual of going to pick up dinner at Popeyes :).  The kids don't even want to eat that with me, it is there fun thing they do with Daddy...whatever, I am not that big of a fan, more of a Chicfila girl here.  So, they always go get Popeyes and then usually drive around eating their dinner and looking for deer out at the lake.  They spend a lot of time in the car together.  I give you this information to preface my funny story...

Sunday morning, after getting home late Saturday night, we still get up and go to church.  As usual, we are all at each other and not in the best of moods as we are running around like crazy trying to get to church on time (I know yall know all about crazy Sunday mornings).  As we are loading up in Shane's car as he still has the car seats from last night, Owen starts hollering "Play the knock knock song! Play the knock knock song!".  I ask what he is talking about, he tells me " I am talking to Daddy!", such a precious boy...

As we back out of the driveway, Shane knows exactly what he is talking about and cues up his cd player to no other than "Knocking on Heaven's Door" by Guns and Roses.   Then my two older children start singing along with the song cheerfully as Bree dances in her seat and "sings" as well.  Shane grins as I am in shock!!!  Then it comes to the chorus and they start singing VERY LOUDLY (Claire in harmony) with Axel Rose, knowing every word "Knock, knock, knockin on heaven's dooooor!". It was so funny!!!  They sing all the way to church (I know, so appropriate, right, sorry Lord!) and then when the song is over, Owen starts yelling "Patience! Patience!"....

Shane is proud.  Only my kids would know GNR ;)...

We are gearing up for some Razorback football around here!!!!  Yesterday I dressed the kids in red at school for the Razorbacks as our first game is this Saturday!!  We are so ready to call our hogs and have a great day of tailgating and fun!

We had a crazy night last night that I will blog about later, but I am so ready for Shane to be home today from traveling and the weekend to be here.....almost the weekend!!!!!
