Update and a few of my FAVORITE things!!

Happy Wednesday! Had my Dr's appt today and it was just a boring appt. He did not check me as we have to be careful with the placenta previa. I am pretty sure that not much has changed as I am finally taking him seriously and taking it easy most of the time. We went through the whole C-section procedure and how the different aspects compare to a normal delivery. He then told me as he felt around on the outside of my stomach on Bree, "I know you have easy deliveries, but I would be thanking my lucky stars that I was not delivering this baby! I can feel a huge head and she is going to be HUGE!". If you could feel my stomach, you would feel just how big she is already and she still has over 2 weeks to grow, equalling about another pound at least!!!! I really don't mind (says the preggo having a c-section =)) as I love big babies and their little fat rolls and dimples =). Most of the babies born on both sides of our families are rather large, so we are used to it =). But I did totally crack up at his comment!! We did get some other great news, they were able to move her birthday to the 21st from the 20th!! So now, she will have her own birthday (she was going to share with one of her cousins) and they are going to have it at 9. That means that we can have Claire taken to school by Mom or someone and they will be back at the hospital by the time Bree is born! All is well right now!!!!!

So, as you would expect, I have been nuts buying Bree the essentials as well as fun things that I have found. Many of the things I have bought are from nice ladies I met through blogging! So I wanted to share with yall some of my favorite things I have bought for the kids lately...I know I love it when I find someone new!!!
So what will Miss Bree be wearing home? This absolutely fabulous onesie handmade by Kari Beth at Dirty Laundry! I have actually know Kari Beth for a very long time as she went to school with Tara and she is just so sweet. I told her some ideas of what I was looking for Bree to wear home and she came back with this idea and I cannot tell you how much I love it!!!! I wanted to do something different and not the usual and she far exceeded my expectations!!! I mean, can you just picture the chubby little thing wearing this??!!! Dirty Laundry is actually local for me, but they do have a blog and tons of fun stuff!! If you are a Hog fanatic like we are, just wait until you see what they have in the fall, for adults too!!!!Then of course, big sister Claire had to have to have a matching top for pictures!! I am still working Owen's outfit, but I cannot wait to see all THREE children dressed alike!!I also had them make these three things for all three kiddos!! Owen's tshirt, Bree's onesie, and Claire's tank dress, all with coordinating peace signs and the girls have flower clips for their hair! LOVE IT!!!!
I had to throw these in - When Owen was born, Tara bought Claire her own scrubs to wear to the hospital! It made for the cutest pictures, so we did it again for Bree's arrival!!! Look at the monogram "O. Brown" and "C. Brown". I cannot wait for yall to see them seeing their sister for the first time in their very own scrubs!!!!I know I have talked about Danna before at Little Show Offs, but I had to show you the girls' matching dresses for our first trip to church as a family of 5! She also made Claire's dress in this post and this one...and this one and don't forget her Easter dress. These dresses are great quality and really reasonable. The southern woman in me can never pass up a smocked bishop dress!!!
Their initials are smocked in the smocking...I found this gem on Ebay!! These are burp cloths and bibs all from Meg Designs!! The link is their Ebay store. It can be overwhelming looking at all their auction items, but they have the greatest thing...you can win an individual auction that lets you pick out whatever bibs, burp cloths, blankets, etc. You can't see just how soft these are and they are some of the best quality I have ever bought!!! I love anything minkee!!!!Of course, Bibs and Cribs is on my list!! Amanda has always made all my tutus and fun shirts for Claire. As well, she made the canvas in this post, LOVE IT!! These two things were actually gifts from Amanda to Bree and I had to show them off too!!!!This tutu matches her room and right now it is part of the decor, but I am sure Miss Bree will be modeling it in a few months =)!!!!
Then we have Nonna at Scarlett Boutique and her fab items she has made for her newest grand-daughter! This utterly chic box holds Bree's jewelry =)...This fabulous tray holds all her toiletries...Mom can make anything custom to you...LOVE IT!!!!I love this! I found this at a local fair here in NWAR. Danna at Pish Posh Creations makes all kinds of fab children's items! We still had Owen's car seat and stroller in good condition so I was not going to buy new for Bree, but I wanted to do something different. So I got this adorable cover and matching blanket for her car seat. You can barely see that her name is monogrammed in the cover, but it looks just like the blanket!!

Finally, another great friend of mine, Alyssa, made Bree (and Claire) these AWESOME hair bows!!! Pictures do not do them justice!!! Claire has been wearing them already and we get so many compliments on them!!! Alyssa is just getting started on making this a side business and I am totally putting her on the spot, but go to her and buy some!!! You will love them!!!!I hope I did not forget anyone! I can tell you that Catherine at Polkadots and Paisleys is making me some adorable note cards for Bree's thank you notes!! I am also working with her on our birth announcements, she is so talented!! I love Preppy Polka Dot too!! Angela has made many decals for things around my home! Some other blogs that I have not yet purchased from but TOTALLY plan on soon are: A&C Posh Designs, Inspired by One Blue Eyed Girl and Polkadaisies. I am going to try to get all these fab ladies' buttons added to my sidebar so you can always find them here. We need to always support each other and promote businesses of other Mamas doing what they love!! You never know, it could be you one day!!!

Have a great night!!! This Mama is thrilled as Shane is almost home (we did not have a baby while he was gone, YAY!) and we are going out for pizza!!!!!!

Okay - the scrubs are the cutest thing I have ever seen! Such a great idea. Bree is already fit for a queen!!! So fun. I have to say though - August 21st is the perfect birthday - that Ava's birthday too!!! Get ready for another little Diva - that date seems to produce them. Good luck with everything!

All so very cute, Rachel!! I love the car seat cover and all the matching stuff for big bro and big sis!! Love all the monogramming, wow, that is so awesome... I have nothing like that for the boys. Hmmmm, might just have to figure out something cute for them. lol It's hard to match a 14 year old and a two year old, though. haha Josh would prob be like, "Don't even think about it, Mom!" haha
