Not so much a Mama...

...for 36 hours =(! I am in a hotel room in Dallas, BLAH! I have been stuck in training all day, and will be again tomorrow before I leave for NWA tomorrow night. I hate being away from the kids...and Shane =)! Of course, it is nice to get away and get a good night's sleep, but it never really works that way. I spend most of my time talking about Claire and Owen, and the baby on the way...and the other times I am checking in at home. This trip is a quick one and not so much fun, but a few things have pissed me off today...

1. Why can't anyone figure out leggings for pregnant women!! I made a trip to the bathroom at least 7 times today to adjust the stupid leggings that had literally shimmied down between my knees!!! I am already mad to have to be dressed in "business casual"...I am used to wearing whatever I want at home, but to have wardrobe malfunctions all day....BLAH!!!!

2. I am a grown adult. When in training, I do not need to be treated like a 16 year old in History class. This training is not even that relevant to me and Mr. IT guy that came by and insisted that I boot my computer back up so that I can make sure the application is loaded correctly at 5:15, you can leave me alone. Also, I am still pissed at your clumsy as* for tripping over my purse and kicking it across the aisle!!!

3. I am pregnant and NutriGrain bars and Snackwells cookies are not good enough snacks for our afternoon break!! I know we are a snotty French company and are practically forced to look nice and "fabulous", but if you want me to stay awake the entire afternoon, give me a BUTTERFINGER!!!

4. And last, being pregnant for the third time is not CRAZY!!!! I have listened to multiple co-workers tell me that they "just can't believe that we are going to have another kid" and "you are going to have your hands full with 3 kids under 6" and "Man, you are going to have such a tough time when they are all teenagers". LEAVE ME ALONE!! I am a hormonal pregnant woman and do not need your negativity!!! And guess what, there are many many MANY families with more than 2 kids and they manage just fine!! My Mom and Dad had 3 girls, GIRLS, and they all were teenagers once, 2 at the same time twice and they handled it just fine! Shane's parents had 4 kids and OMG, 2 were twins, they are still alive and not in a mental hospital. Shane and I want a large family. Yes, it will be a circus most of the time, but me and Shane love our lives and cannot wait to have another clown in the ring =)!

I feel better now! Thanks for listening. Now I am going to get in this big King bed all to myself with room service DESSERT!! But before I go, I went back and looked for old pictures around this time a couple years ago of Claire and Owen....

Claire - January 2006 at Hobby Lobby, look at how little she is!!!
Owen - February 2007 - Cheesing it up as a cute little butterball!!!!

I was in Dallas (aka Plano) Sunday and Monday for my new hire orientation. I can so relate - at first glance, we're like, ALRIGHT!! a full night's sleep, no noise, no crying, no tantrums - YYYYEEEESSS!!! But, I get in my room and feel completely bored and alone and missing my family something awful!! At least you could blog - I am currently without a work laptop (will be issued later this week) and BOY do I feel LOST!!! haha

Loved the flashback pics, Rachel!! Hope all is well with baby #3 and that you are feeling good!

Happened upon your blog and this post had me laughing! Your comments about training and being treated like a 16 yr old resonates with me. Have had similar mtgs. Hate it.

LOL! I'm sorry about the whole panty hose thing! Have you tried asking Motherhood maternity if they reccommend something for you? There should be something out there now since there are a lot of buiness mamas out there!

I would like a workshop to go to for a few days by myself! The Hubs gets to go all over, and I want to too! :)

oh no, sorry you had a bad day, hope today is better! Don't even listen to those people who try to tell you you're crazy, how rude!

Love the cute pics of your babies! They grow up so fast don't they!!

Rachel, you were made to have a big family! You (whether you want to admit it or not) are an amazing super mom. You are such a good mother to Claire and Owen that it would only be natural for you to have more children. And Shane, well I'll admit that he is a pretty amazing daddy too. The two of you inspire me every day to do more and be better at it.

Don't let what other people say bother you because they are only saying it bc they have no other comments to make. Also, they just don't know you like we do. They have no idea how you can handle things so easily. And, I know you are pregnant and going to get pissed off anyway, but hang in there because in the end, you will be the one with a beautiful, loving, fun-filled family waiting for you at home while all the others go home to their tiny apartments in NY City with nothing more than their cat waiting to greet them with a nice big stinky litter box. :)

Love you.

You just taught me to shut my mouth when someone is having child #3 or #4.... I usually say that line "wow, you are going to have your hands full"... just because I cannot imagine... but honestly, I have 3 brothers, and we always had the best times. Big families are awesome! So you go girl!

Seriously, I don't know why people are giving you a hard time about the three kids. Silly people. And remember, your dad has 8 brothers and sisters...I wonder what people said to your grandma when she was pregnant with her last one! Ha ha! Hope everything is ok with ya!

Just do what all great southern ladies do - smile politely and say isn't that nice (in the back of your head your telling them to eat s**t). That's what my mom told me. HINT HINT whenever I smile back and say isn't that nice, you know what I'm really saying HA HA!!!
