Baby Update

Hello friends!! Had my Dr's appt today. This was actually the first time to see my real Dr. The first few times I saw the nurse (their protocol in the beginning) and then 2 weeks ago during the episode, he was in surgery and I saw his partner. Well today was another wake up call for me. He sat me down and really explained the severity of what has been going on with me. Last time, the other Dr. really just told me and Shane enough to get us through it and to somewhat relax. Dr. Hannah told me today that I am very high risk and there are many things that can still go wrong. The baby had a strong heart beat today in the 160's and is doing great. The biggest risk I have now is going into preterm labor as I get bigger due to placental abruption. I HAVE to continue to take it easy and not push myself. That means, no more picking up my Owen or going up and down our stairs. I have to say not being able to pick up Owen made me cry, but I know he has enough people around here to tote him around =). Things are going to continue to change around here and Shane is going to hold me to the new changes. He has given me strict instructions on how I am to do things =). Thank God I have so much help around me, I don't know what I do without all of our family and friends!!

Please continue to pray that this sweet baby continues to grow inside me and stays in there as long as it needs to!! Also, please pray for me that I can stay positive and not get so wrapped in worrying that things will go wrong. I know that I should not worry and that He will take care of me and this baby, but knowing and actually following through is two things =)!! And lastly, pray for Shane as he is going to have his hands full with all of us and that he keeps his sanity!!!!

I go back to the Dr in 3 weeks for another check up and then we go back 3 weeks later to find out boy or girl!!!!!!!!!

I will leave you with a sweet picture of me and my 40lb Owen when he was just 8lbs and my sweet, itty, bitty, baby boy...

So good to see you today at the doctor... I love that we both go to Dr. H- HE IS SIMPLY THE BEST! I don't know what I would do without him, he calms me. I will be praying for you to have peace over the next several months. Lay low and let others do for you! I would love to make you a nice little meal one night, or even take you to dinner... Im thinking about you and will keep you on my prayer list every morning! XOXO to you the kids and Shane!

We all know your family, and how you all are such a strong team. We will pray, it has worked before. You know Harper right? Love that she keeps Kelly up all night! Owen in his Cowboys uniform is too much! You are truly blessed. Could you please explain to Tara that we are all budgeting and these Spring Dress posts are just too much! Rest, and mean it when you do! Let it go.....

Oh, bless your heart! You and that sweet babe are in my prayers. Is Dr. Hannah not the BEST?! I was their nanny for about 6 years and even worked in the clinic for a short time. Precious family! You are in great hands.

I was thinking that you could go into preterm labor from what you said when it first happened.

I was praying that you'd take it easy. I've had many YOUNG friends want to rush things along by not following doctor's orders. Well, they did rush things along, but it wasn't good.

I'm still praying that baby of yours is going to stay in the oven until it's time. :)

That's what my mama's doctor told her when she was pregnant with twins.

You are in good hands with Dr. Hannah - he is awesome. Just be sure to stick to the rules - I know it can be difficult to slow down.

I'm gonna be praying for you girl! I know you like to keep busy, so its gonna be hard. I totally understand how you feel not being able to pick up Owen. After my c section I couldn't pick up maddox for 6 weeks...he was just to little to understand, it was the hardest thing for me to deal with, I cried a lot. What did make it better was cuddling him in bed, on the couch, just watching TV together.
Take it easy girl!! Don't worry to much...God is taking care of that sweet baby!

What a sweet baby pic of O!! Look at those beautiful eyes looking right at his Momma!!! =)

Take it easy, Rachel, and let Shane take the lead. He is a wonderful husband to "keep you in line" on the doctors orders. =) You & baby will be in my prayers every day!!
