3 days and 1 hour...SATC!!!

I know this is not a post about the kids...but I am so psyched about the movie tickets I just bought....all 14 of them!!

Tara had the greatest idea for all of us girls to get together and go see Sex and the City when it comes out!! We are going Saturday...all dressed up... and then to dinner as a group!!! I am sure more pictures to come...

Memorial Day weekend with swimming...and a buzz cut??

We had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend!! We spent every day swimming at my Dad's, and then of course we had a party Sunday night!! All of the family came over and Shane grilled some awesome burgers. All of the Brown kids had a blast...the adults too =). Drew, Tara, Nicole and Neil (and their puppies) pretty much stayed with us, at some point, all weekend. The kids LOVE their aunts and soon to be uncles (well Neil not officially, but we claim him =)).
We tried to take Owen for a hair cut Saturday morning, but Tubby's was closed. His hair was getting so long and shaggy, but we would just have to wait...so I thought. Monday morning, Shane gets the lovely idea that HE could cut Owen's hair. You see, Shane has been shaving his head for a long time now and has the good clippers to do it. I was reluctant at first, but he assured me that it would not be too short. Well, it is short, but absolutely adorable. My baby boy does not look like a baby anymore!!! I included pictures that Tara took for me (she is so good about making sure I have good pictures for blog posts) and I was a mess, stressed out about the HUGE clumps of hair falling!! There are tons of pictures below in order from Saturday through Monday, so you will see Owen go from old hair to new, clean cut, stud cut =).

So tonight, me, Shane and the kids are sitting in the living room, all really tired. Owen is fussy, Claire is so quiet.

I say to Shane "Wow, the kids are exhausted, they had a long weekend!"

Shane says: "Yeah, Claire are you pooped?"

Claire: "Nope, I haven't yet."

Hope you had as great of a weekend as we did!!

I am in my office working and I see Owen in the dining room playing around, getting into stuff I am sure. I am not too concerned as nothing has broken and I hear him talking to himself (if you consider "Dada....mama..." talking =)). At the same time, Tara and Claire are in the living room playing Mario Kart on Wii. I start wondering why he is not in there watching, trying to take the controls from his sister. So I go check on him and he is just quietly sitting on the bench in there (climbed up himself) looking out the window. I tell him "Well aren't you just sweet and cute", he says "CHEEEEEEESE". It was so funny, I just had to go get my camera and fulfill his request =).

(BTW - he is not wearing a shirt because he just finished a GREEN icing frog cookie that Aunt Tara brought him=)).

I am starting a reoccuring blog titiled "Brillant Quotes from Claire Isabella". For those of you that know our brillant daughter, she always keeps us on our toes and laughing! This morning was no different...

We are in the McDonald's drive thru getting breakfast (don't judge, at least they were eating breakfast =), sometimes it takes a few biscuits to cure bad moods in the mornings=)):

Mama - "HUH? What are you talking about?" I look over, thinking I will see someone driving a care with maybe an Idol sticker or something??

Nice, relaxing weekend...with just a small party

So, Shane requested a relaxing weekend with no plans, specifically no parties at our house. For those of you that know me well, a weekend (well any night for that matter) is a waste without some kind of get-together =). I obliged, kind of. My youngest sister, Nicole and her boyfriend, Neil, finished their finals last week in their first year of nursing school and was FINALLY done for the summer!! We were so excited because she has been so swamped with school and we have not seen them much lately. So, I HAD to celebrate just a little bit since they came home Friday night to see everyone. So we had a very small party with just Mom, Jake, Tara, me, Shane and the kids. Also, Nicole brought home our newest family member, Winston, the Westie! We already have Sophie, Mom's, missing a few screws, but adorable, Pekingnese, Cooper, the coolest Pug ever, and Miss Sadie Jane, Tara's most fashionable little lady, Schnorkie (Schnauzer / Yorkie).
