We love Poppy!!

We had a great weekend...even though Shane was gone all weekend hunting =(. The girls spent most of the weekend with me and the kids and we had a really good time! We are so busy right now tying up all the loose ends for the wedding, but we managed to relax this weekend too =)!

Claire and her Starbucks...hot chocolate =) Me and my sleepy babies...love O's expression =)Coopdawg snoozingI love this picture, Oscar is sitting with us asleep and Owen is rubbing his ears =)This picture is just for my benefit...my view with the kids laying on me...so sweet!!
But I have to say the best part of the entire weekend was Sunday morning...our Step-dad Jake, aka Poppy was baptised! Me and the kids with Nicole went to church with them to be there for him and we even got to be up there with him and take pics. There is nothing more emotional and uplifting than to see God in someone you love...here are some pictures of his big day!!

Nonna and Poppy - If you remember past pics of Poppy, you probably are noticing he looks A LOT smaller...we you are right - HE HAS LOST OVER 80LBS!! He looks great!!!!!Mom and Jace
Poppy and Owen (Poppy is one of Owen's most FAVORITE people, they are not even blood related, but we all say O resembles him =)!)
Me and NicolePoppy, Claire and Jace Jake being baptised...
Jake - We love you so much and are so proud of you! You have been such a blessing to our Mom and we see everyday the happiness you bring her. You have also been a blessing to us and we are so happy that you are a part of this family. It would not be the same without you (and we would have less candy =)). You are starting a walk that will make you a new man and even better than you were before...enjoy and know that you will have Him on your side forever. We love you and cannot wait to watch His work in you and see what He has in store!!
Happy family afterwards!! Lunch - Owen sleeping on PoppyThe HOT couple...and cutie O!Me and Claire Going to be a busy week...please say a prayer for Tara and Drew, as well as the entire family that everything goes smoothly and everyone stays well! I will TRY and convince Tara to let me post pics after the wedding, so we will see =)!!
Have a great day!!

You know, it's funny b/c that's what my kids call the hubby's parents...Nona and Poppy! HAHA! Great minds think alike! ;) Congrats to Poppy for losing 80 lbs AND getting baptized! That's wonderful! They look too young to be grandparents! :O

GOOD LUCK ON THE WEDDING! :) Can't wait to see pictures!

Rachel,
I have been reading your blog for several months now, and I think it must be in the genes. I believe that this is true because Claire does it to. Have you ever noticed that every woman in your family cocks her head to one side in pictures? I think it is funny that Claire has picked up the trait. It is almost like a pageant thing...were you guys all beauty queens?

Your mom looks so happy w/ him too, I'm so happy for both of them!!! =)

Wow! I can't believe how much weight Jake has lost. He looks even better than ever. That is so great that he was baptised.

I've always said that if I didn't know any better that I would think Owen was definitely Jake's blood.

I will be praying for everyone this week so that the wedding goes wonderfully smooth (and we all have a lot of fun!!!)
