Praying for the Turner's

Today is a blogging and social media day of silence in honor of the passing of Matt Turner.  We will be spending our day praying for Julee, her daughter Preslee, and the Turner and Bell families.
For this light momentary affliction is preparing us for an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18

31 Days of Our Home - Day 9 Our Kitchen

So, obviously I am not good at this blogging everyday thing :).  So let's just forget I missed a few days and carry on, shall we?

Tonight, I show you probably the most lived in room in our home, the kitchen.  It is about as clean as it gets tonight, so I took pics and want to share...

Welcome to the kitchen!!

Here is where Bree sits (and gets filthy) when I cook and gets into the goodies that are in that platter stand thing :)..
 Counter...

Best sign...and it is even dirty :)

 Catch all spot/command center :)

 Breafkfast nook...

Decor on the table...missing a set of blinds because I certain little boy ripped them down :)
Butler's pantry...I keep all the paper plates, cups, etc here...and some booze back in the back :).  That frame in the back is to keep fun pics of friends from parties etc.

Favorite sign in the house along the bottom..."Welcome to the Zoo"

 My Scentsy stash

Hope you ignored the dust, finger prints and some dirty counters...:)

The Turner Family

So I did not post yesterday for my 31 days of our home and I planned to get caught back up today, but my heart is heavy and I can't get the post together.

One of my twitter/blogger friends lost her husband last night in a car accident. I only "know" Julee through blogging and twitter, but I know she is a beautiful mother and wife, inside and out.  She and her husband, Matt have a 10 month old daughter, Preslee. I have been a mess all day and sick thinking and praying for her and the family. Matt was the local TV news anchor here and was me and Shane's favorite. He was our fave on twitter during Hog games as well.  Most of all, everyone could see without a doubt how much he loved his wife and daughter.  It is so very sad to see such a young life taken too soon.

I cannot stop looking at Shane and my kids today and thanking the Lord even more for them. I don't know what I would do without Shane, and I cannot begin to fathom how she feels. So very sad.

The blog and twitter world has blown my mind today with their support and prayers for Julee.  There is so much more good in this world on the internet and I have never been prouder to a part of it.

Please pray for her, Preslee and the family. Here is another way to help.

Back to our home tomorrow.

31 Days of Our Home -Day 5

Tonight there are no pretty pictures.

Tonight- Oscar is HOME from the vet after being there all week . He has a bag full of meds and instructions to take it easy (bed rest - seriously :) ) for 4 weeks. I know I have three happy kiddos that there big pup is back... But mama is so happy to have one of her boys home.

Tonight - Shane is on his way HOME after being gone since Sunday for a work meeting. I have dealt with almost losing one of our dogs without him and we all miss him like crazy. I cannot wait to see his handsome face in a few hours.

Tonight - we are HOME taking it easy, and enjoying an easy night. There is no place like HOME.
