June 15th...

Back in April, on this post, Shane and I had just found out that I had a fibroid tumor and that we had a 50% chance of seeing Bree earlier than planned. That day, Dr. Hannah told us that we need to get to June 15th, 28 weeks, that would be the day that we would have over a 90% chance of survival for Miss Bree. We were also told that if she was born that day, she would have a long road ahead of her, but that was the day. He also said that there would be a good chance of me going on bed rest as late as July, maybe even earlier. We all prayed that Bree would wait until at least June 15th and that we would all be able to deal with an early arrival. As well, we were all concerned and prepared for me going on bed rest very early.

Today is the day!! At our last appt, Dr H said I was doing great and looked perfect. He, as of last week, did not foresee any reason for bed rest! Things are going so much better than we planned and I cannot be more thankful!! I feel better than I have all pregnancy and have more energy than before. I constantly feel this chunky baby inside me, letting me know that she is okay and going to stick it out as long as we need! Her room is almost done, our big Bree Bash is next week, we could not be more happy or excited!! This whole pregnancy is a true testament to us that God has had His hand on me and this sweet baby the entire time! I get so caught up in work, raising two little ones, family, and everything, that sometimes it takes something big to knock me back and truly be thankful for the life I have been given! Bree is a true little miracle and is going to be an angel added to our family! I know every time I look into her eyes, I will see how we were blessed once more to our family of then 5! In no longer than 9 short weeks, we will be holding her!!

So here is to the start of the third trimester, getting bigger, more aches and pains and a hot summer!! I would not trade it for the world!!!!!

Rachel, I just get chills reading your post because I know how much this baby means to the Brown family. She is such a miracle, all babies are such a true blessing from God. After my miscarriage I was scared to death to be pregnant! Well here I am with a 2 week old and healthier than ever, and she is fabulous and beautiful! God wants us to be happy, and he fulfilled that in me with Avery. I know Bree is meant to be her, and afterall, her and Bree are besties so we are just waiting for now! I can hardly wait! Love you and thinking about you! I can't wait to take care of you and cook for you when she gets here, as you have done for me. You are the best! XOXO!
