Relaxing Weekend and Father's Day!

I just had to start the blog with this picture as it is my new favorite - THANKS TARA!!!!Shane and I had a wonderful weekend!!! Friday morning I drove down to Plano to meet Shane who had already been there for a couple days. We wanted to take advantage of one last weekend to ourselves before we are a family of 5!!

This weekend was exactly what we needed!! Shane has been swamped with work and I have been so wrapped up in baby stuff and two other rugrats =), I needed a break! We stayed at a super nice hotel in the Legacy area in Plano, right in the middle of a bunch of fun shops and restaurants. We were able to get in some shopping, as well as have dinner with some friends, including our TX besties, Seth and Brittney! We had such a good time with them, all the way to 1am Saturday night/Sunday morning!!! Shane got a massage Saturday afternoon while I got a fabulous pedicure! It really was one of the most relaxing weekends EVER!!! But we were anxious to get home to our kiddos!! When I say we shopped, we shopped for the all three of our sweeties!!
We were not home until late evening on Father's Day, so we really did not get a chance to celebrate (Claire did insist on she and Owen giving Shane his cards they made him before school was out, all be it 10pm last night =)) with Shane. So tonight we ordered in his favorite pizza and had our own mini celebration! I have not even seen my camera in days (still hoping it is the bottom of my purse...) so I have nothing from our mini vacay or tonight, but Tara snapped some shots of the kids while we were gone that are too cute!!!

I had just gotten into Plano and I received this pic on my Blackberry from Tara, from her phone!! It was titled "Look at your daughter..." and then she prefaced it with "I swear she is wearing tons of sunscreen". Only Claire...
Happy Father's Day Shane!! We love you so much and you are the greatest Daddy ever!! Claire loves you because you protect her from everything and ALWAYS listen to her many stories and watch her performances =). Owen loves you because you are always willing to wrestle ANYTIME and however long as he wants. There are many reasons why I love you, but a few are because you are the best role model for our kids and love us all so much!!

Guess...???

Guess which pretty little girl spent the night with her aunt Tara last night and had a mini photo shoot??? This is all after getting in her first car accident (someone rear ended Tara) and not totally freaking out!
Guess which mischievous little boy has had more dirty diapers lately than I thought was humanly possible?? As well, has a pink spot in the back of his hair that daddy thought was funny to spray with leftover Halloween hair dye?? Do you think it is time for potty training when the kid says "Bye Bye Poopoo" when you change them???Guess which other sweet girl's room this teaser picture may have come from?? Just a tease until it is all done late next week before the big Bree bash!
Guess which Mama is beyond exhausted, in desperate need of a tan, and is literally counting the minutes until she gets to leave for the weekend to Dallas, (leaving Friday morning, sans KIDS) to meet Daddy who is leaving tonight and leaving her with these two monkeys for 2 nights???
Daddy and Mama are getting one last mini vacay, just the two of us, this weekend!! The grandparents have split the duties and I am out of here early Friday morning!!!
Have a great rest of the week!! Also stay tuned as Footballs and Crowns is getting a facelift by the ever so talented Jen at Jen Gets Fancy!!!

June 15th...

Back in April, on this post, Shane and I had just found out that I had a fibroid tumor and that we had a 50% chance of seeing Bree earlier than planned. That day, Dr. Hannah told us that we need to get to June 15th, 28 weeks, that would be the day that we would have over a 90% chance of survival for Miss Bree. We were also told that if she was born that day, she would have a long road ahead of her, but that was the day. He also said that there would be a good chance of me going on bed rest as late as July, maybe even earlier. We all prayed that Bree would wait until at least June 15th and that we would all be able to deal with an early arrival. As well, we were all concerned and prepared for me going on bed rest very early.

Today is the day!! At our last appt, Dr H said I was doing great and looked perfect. He, as of last week, did not foresee any reason for bed rest! Things are going so much better than we planned and I cannot be more thankful!! I feel better than I have all pregnancy and have more energy than before. I constantly feel this chunky baby inside me, letting me know that she is okay and going to stick it out as long as we need! Her room is almost done, our big Bree Bash is next week, we could not be more happy or excited!! This whole pregnancy is a true testament to us that God has had His hand on me and this sweet baby the entire time! I get so caught up in work, raising two little ones, family, and everything, that sometimes it takes something big to knock me back and truly be thankful for the life I have been given! Bree is a true little miracle and is going to be an angel added to our family! I know every time I look into her eyes, I will see how we were blessed once more to our family of then 5! In no longer than 9 short weeks, we will be holding her!!

So here is to the start of the third trimester, getting bigger, more aches and pains and a hot summer!! I would not trade it for the world!!!!!
