Welcome 2010!!

Hello yall!!! So it has been awhile!! So much has been going on in our lives lately and unfortunately the blog suffered. Hopefully before I am 45, I will learn how to manage three kids, a job, and a busy schedule, but until then, we just go day by day =)!! We have gone through so much lately and I have soooo much to blog about. We also had a couple weeks right before Christmas of some not so good times, Claire got really bad sick =(. She was out of school for a whole week, all except the Friday before school was out and she was able to just make it to her Christmas Party. She is much better now, a few lbs lighter, but much better. I swear there is nothing worse than one of your babies being sick and there is very little you can do about it. She was well by Christmas and this was definitely the best Christmas yet!!! Shane also had a big birthday right before Christmas that will deserve a post.

Another huge thing going on in our lives is that me and Shane made the decision for our family to change churches. I am not going to go in a lot of detail, but this was a really tough decision on us, especially Shane. But I will say, that so far, this has been the best decision we have made! We attend with my Mom and Jake and some of our very best friends that have also helped us join an awesome Connection Group. As well, the kids love it and are always begging to go!! It is music to any parents' ears to hear your childrens' excitement for attending their classes at church!! We know that the Lord placed us in this church for various reasons and we are so excited to see what the future holds. I really have never felt closer to my Lord.

To kickstart that future, we are involved in a 21 day fast the church is encouraging. We were asked to fast something in our lives that may be enabling us to focus on God. I just recently joined facebook this year and WOW is it addicting!! Lately, I have felt like it was really getting to me (maybe because I got an iphone and it was always at my fingertips =)) and I have decided to fast from it for 21 days. It is amazing how something so great and so "innocent" can have such a negative impact in your life at times. It will be hard, but it already feels so wonderful as the fast started sundown tonight. It helps that my girl Amy is doing it with me and we can support each other! I know that during this fast I will learn more about myself and be challenged in many ways. Please keep our church in your prayers as we are going through this process.

Soooooo now it is time to get the blog updated, catch up on everyone else!!! Stay tuned!!!! =)

Changing churches can definitely be a tough decision but the right thing too! so glad you found a wonderful one!

I think we all understand how addicting all of these fun social medias are! I've had to take some little breaks too, to make sure I am focused on the right things. =)

I'm glad Claire is feeling better, Happy bday to Shane, and I hope you, Shane, and all your cute kiddos are doing so well!!
