Reality sinking in.....

So, we spilled the beans...baby Brown #3 is on the way!!! I am due early September and am 5 weeks preggo. This happened waaaaaaay faster than we had planned and we were kind of in shock for a bit. I had my IUD removed (sorry for TMI) on December 8th. The week of Christmas I started having symptoms and knew I was pregnant. I could not believe it, but just figured I would have to wait and see. I actually took a test after Christmas and it came back negative, but I was not late yet. Then on New Year's Day, we ran around all day to different families to enjoy our black eyed peas (BLEH) and I was feeling TERRIBLE! When we got home, I had to go pee for the umpteenth time and decided to take my last test. Then, very quickly, "+YES" glared at me and I was speechless =). We told all the family that night. I am not one to wait too long to tell as I feel that it is worse to wait for the "chance of negative" and rather have more people praying for me and the baby. But, I wanted to only tell family until I told work and saw the Dr. Well, Claire went to school Tuesday (which happens to be at our Church) and told everyone that she could that "Mama had a baby in her belly!". So, we laughed and let everyone loose to tell everybody and anybody...and I told work the very next day =).

So, now that it is finally sinking in, I am one pregnant mess!! I have been sick (God help anyone in my path if I am hungry), my back is killing me, and when they said that the third shows pretty much immediately, they were RIGHT! I am addicted to Taco Bell Fully Loaded Nachos and sadly (I can't believe I am saying this) cannot stand Chicfila! Just today, I was driving to a meeting, listening to the Brittney CD (the same one that just days prior to finding out I was pregnant, accused both of my sisters, Mom, Shane and Claire of stealing as I could not find it, but I had tucked it away in a drawer for some reason), I started bawling my eyes out to Womanizer and Circus as I thought about Ms. B and her come back. I have lost it folks =)!!!

Claire is excited and told me "I think it is a girl, but if it is a boy, he and Owen can be brothers.". Too cute!! Owen has no idea, but thinks it is funny when I am throwing up, today he mimicked me after I was done, NIIIIIIIIIICCCE! Oh, just wait for the stories to come, Pregnant Rachel, Know it All Claire, and Owen.....going to be a fun ride and God Bless Shane!!!!

New Year's Eve Party at our house - Every year Shane and I know that we cannot get a sitter and usually we just stay home with the kids and make the best of it. Well, this year we had a party with our closest friends and family...and the kids partied too! What can I say, my kids love it as much as I do =). Claire even got a New Year's dress...

Can I even tell you how much she loved this dress????

Owen dressed up too...missing shoes, but we were lucky to be dressed. He was more concerned with the appetizers =).

Cooper and Oscar even dressed up too (I am so bummed, they wore matching Christmas sweaters for Christmas Eve and we did not get a picture =). Love my boys...they just go with the flow =)!!

Owen could not last until midnight =)

Hello Again!!

Hey yall!! I am back!! I have been so busy and having computer problems, finally tonight it's all good!! I am trying to get caught up on everyone and I am sorry I have not been commenting, I will soon, PROMISE!!!

We had a great Christmas and New Years!! The kids are at such a fun age and LOVE Christmas. All of our family live in town, so we have a such a great time spending time with everyone. Christmas Eve was at my house this year with all of my family (Mom's side). I don't have any pictures from that night (while hostessing, I tend to forget the camera, =( ). Tara has them and I will post later. Christmas Day, we have our own Christmas, then eat breakfast at Mom and Jake's. Then we spend the rest of the day at Shane's parents' home. It was so much fun and I cannot believe it is all over!!! Claire is still singing Christmas songs and Owen is still watching Christmas movies....and I am still taking down Christmas decor...so here at the Brown's it is not entirely all over =). Here are a bunch of way too late pictures from Christmas!!!
