STUCK!

As I was cooking dinner last night (if you call heating up hot dogs cooking), Owen came running downstairs to the kitchen, frantically yelling "STUCK STUCK STUUUUUCK"! He then comes to me like this...so first I got some pics =) and then saved the day! Can you see the stress in his eyes?? Thank goodness he has his Mama to save him!!!!

SUNSHINE!!!

We have had WEEKS of rain here lately and I cannot tell you how excited we were yesterday afternoon when the sun finally came out!!!! So after dinner, I cut up a small watermelon and we went outside to enjoy the nice weather with a little golf and bubbles in the backyard!!

Funny story - Claire LOVES to go outside and find 4 leaf clovers (a past time her Aunt Tara taught her). We usually do not have many "weeds" in the backyard, but this spring many came up and Claire was having so much fun. So much that I asked Shane not to kill all of the clovers since she loved it. He thought I was crazy and did it anyway...well Claire was furious with her father and demanded an apology! Well, she was sooo happy when a few of them did not die and she had her clovers (she told him she won and he lost since they did not all die =)). Here she is with her Daddy and Oscar, looking for some good luck....

Bashful Baby

Today we went to the Dr to have our big ultrasound. It is always a good feeling to see the baby again and today they checked her heart, brain, etc. Great news - Bree is growing just perfect!! She is also still Bree =)...one of my biggest fears was to find out that she was a boy today (I would be happy with another boy, but I don't think Shane would let him wear the many flowers and bows that I have bought her, nor would baby boy appreciate the blankets with "Bree Leighton" monogrammed on them =)), but she is still a she!! Unfortunately, Bree was bashful and very uncooperative with the ultrasound! She would not let us see her face for anything!! She would either roll away from the tech or put her little hands in front of her face! We would catch glimpses of her pouty lips and chubby cheeks, but she was having nothing to do with her picture being taken!! So we did not get any good pictures, but we were just thrilled with her growth! She is going to be such a mess...just like another little girl I know...we just know it =)!!

The nursery plans begin this weekend!! Shane and Poppy are going to paint her room on Saturday and then me and Mom will begin working our magic! Some of her bedding is starting to come in and I am so excited!! So far, everything is working out just as planned! We only have 15 weeks until we plan for her to make her appearance. Have a I mentioned that my sweet Claire starts kindergarten the same exact week that we plan to have Bree?? Yeah, I can't do anything without a little drama...oh yeah, and Owen's birthday is a less than a week prior too!!! If Bree can hold off for a few days, we are going to try to be induced the Friday after Claire starts school, which would be the 21st of August (only 3 days before Tara's bday). Owen's birthday is the 14th, so we will probably have his party after I have Bree. I am telling you...never a dull moment around here =)!!

Guess who got a HAIRCUT???

Apparently I am the only one that is not too fond of it!! Poppy always takes Owen to get his hair cut at Tubby's Barber shop and Tubby misunderstood Poppy's direction....and well Owen got buzzed =)!!! I think he looks mean, but he is still my baby =)!!
